Tona Barnes is a passionate and experienced fitness instructor dedicated to empowering seniors (55+) to live healthier, more active lives. With a focus on fun, effective, and safe exercises, Tona helps her clients improve strength, flexibility, balance, and overall well-being.
Her approach is all about creating a supportive and encouraging environment where everyone feels comfortable and motivated to move. Whether in person or online, Tona's Fitness Warriors is more than just a class – it's a community committed to vitality and joy.

My Journey to Find You
Life comes at us at the speed of sound, and that sound you hear is opportunity knocking. They say you have two lives: the one you’re living and the one you begin to live once you realize you have only one life.
My life has been a magical journey, filled with highs and lows. I found fitness on and off in my late 20’s not realizing how beneficial it was. I always felt stronger and better after a workout but didn’t exactly know why. After having my first child I wanted a stronger, more fit body so I started taking more fitness classes and continued to work out throughout my second pregnancy. I realized soon after my second was born that having a “mom” body was not for me, I wanted a change, a lifestyle change, not a quick fix, but to be the healthiest I could be. I’m hoping this is becoming to sound familiar. Let’s see.
As I dove into that magical life I mentioned, I realized that becoming the healthiest version of myself was not only a challenge, but the life I had been waiting for. I discovered how amazing our bodies are and I learned the “WHY” to feeling better after a workout. That taking care of this one body I have is crucial not just for physical fitness but for my mental and emotional health as well.
